In a landmark decision welcomed by the Jharkhand Pensioner Kalyan Samaj, the State Cabinet has formally approved a 4% hike in Dearness Relief (DR) for all state government pensioners and family pensioners. This raises the effective DR percentage to parity with central pay scale norms. General Secretary Shri Mukund Lal Verma has urged the Treasury Directorate to ensure seamless credit into pensioner bank accounts without unnecessary physical verification delays.
